Synchronicity

Jung's term for a meaningful coincidence not linked by cause, worked out with the physicist Wolfgang Pauli and published in 1952. It is the framework in which Jung placed the I Ching and, in passing, the tarot: the cards fall as they do because the moment has a quality.
