The first decan of Leo runs from 0°–10° of the sign, about Jul 22–Aug 1. Its ruler in the Chaldean order is Saturn, and its card is the Five of Wands, which Crowley calls Strife and the Golden Dawn the Lord of Strife. The decan lies within the arc of the Prince of Wands (21° Cancer to 20° Leo). Its two angels of the Shem ha-Mephorash are Nith-Haiah and Haaiah.
